Our goal at NCALHN is to be a resource to genealogists and historians for searching the men, women, and
children of North Carolina's past.
We are a part of the the American Local History Network.
We encourage you to check out not only our county pages, but also our special
topic pages about specific topics on NC history.
The NCALHN project strives to provide the best resources for your perusal.
Please feel free to
to contact me or any county coordinator regarding issues with any questions or concerns.

You may want to begin your search by exploring the County Websites or perhaps the special topics page. If you discover that one of the counties is in need of a coordinator and you are interested in adopting one of the counties, please send us an e-mail message. The North Carolina ALHN is in need of volunteers to host county pages and special topic pages. Some county coordinators may need help with transcribing data, etc... If you might be interested in volunteering, please contact NCALHN. Each of the counties maintains a system for submitting queries. In many cases you might not know which county your ancestor was from. Please utilize our General North Carolina Query Board only if you do not know the county of origin for your ancestors. |
